Actually, this is our very first restaurant in China. Chongqing is an incredibly open and energetic city. Especially here in Yuzhong, there are many international residents, and the locals are genuinely curious about global flavors.

Yes. Amethyst is the national stone of Uruguay, and sales here are growing every year. That growth has been especially fast since the opening of the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor.

对，这是一条 “物流超近道”，从重庆出发，直达东南亚。过去，乌拉圭商品需要先经海运抵达中国东部沿海，再转运到内陆地区。而现在，借助这条通道，物流时间缩短了20多天，成本大大降低了。
Ben Xiang:
That's right. It's a logistics super-highway that starts right here in Chongqing and connects directly to Southeast Asia. In the past, goods from Uruguay had to be shipped to China's eastern coast first, and then travel inland. But with this corridor, we cut delivery time by over 20 days and significantly lower costs.

As a flagship project of the China-Singapore Connectivity Initiative, this investment and the development of this project began more than a decade ago. Chongqing is a major hub for China's opening-up, and is also part of the Belt and Road Initiative as well as the Yangtze River Economic Belt. Well, look at this building. It's kind of like a sail on a ship, right?

没错。它采用了古代帆船的建筑形态，以整个渝中半岛侧面为原型并体现了立足于航运的重庆文化。

Exactly. The architecture is actually inspired by ancient shipping vessels. So it's actually modeled after the side profile of the Yuzhong district peninsula. And this also reflects the Chongqing culture that is rooted in the shipping culture.
主持人：
我发现这里很有国际化氛围。应该也吸引了很多外企吧？
Host:
I get a strong international vibe here. I'm assuming that also attracts a lot of foreign companies?
卢凯：
是的。我们与渝中区政府合力打造了国际金融集聚区和国际总部企业集聚区，吸引了很多全球知名企业，包括世界500强企业入驻重庆来福士。比如AIA、渣打银行、大华银行、马士基等都在这里。

That's right. Together with the Yuzhong district government, we have developed an international financial zone and also an international headquarters economy zone here. And we attracted a lot of globally renowned companies, including Fortune Global 500 companies here in Raffles City Chongqing. So companies such as AIA, Standard Chartered, UOB, Maersk are all located here.

I think the city's international vibe is getting stronger every year. There are more foreign companies and expats here now, and you can find authentic food from all over the world. Personally, I really enjoy the creative mix like Chongqing noodles with coffee or even hotpot with steak. It's a combination you do not see anywhere else.
