Though Zhengzhou sits far from the coast, the city has still sailed forth to global markets and presented itself to the world. From exporting products made in Zhengzhou to delivering services developed in Zhengzhou, the city is now taking action to answer a defining question of our era: How can one set sail for distant shores without a coastline?

Going global is never a smooth journey. Information asymmetries, challenging cross-border financing, and persistent trade barriers often stand as hidden reefs for enterprises expanding overseas. Zhengzhou's solution has been to shift from isolated breakthroughs to systemic reform.

“出海”并非坦途。市场信息不对称、跨境融资难、贸易壁垒多,是企业走向全球时常遇到的“暗礁”。郑州的解法是:从“单点突破”转向“系统破局”。

The local government has not only provided policy support but also built practical platforms. In 2025, the 18thChina-LAC Business Summit was held in Zhengzhou, the China (Zhengzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Export Base was officially inaugurated, and three hundred enterprises gathered at the Cross-border E-commerce Conference for supply-demand matching, resource integration, and ecosystem development. Today, Zhengzhou continues to expand its global network which now includes import and export trade relations with 226 countries and regions around the world.

政府不仅出台政策,更搭建平台。2025年,第十八届中国—拉美企业家高峰会成功举办;郑州跨境电商产业出海基地正式揭牌;300家企业齐聚跨境电商大会,供需对接、资源整合、生态共建。如今,郑州的“朋友圈”不断扩大,已与全球226个国家和地区建立起进出口贸易关系。

Going global means more than just selling products; it means establishing well-known, recognizable brands. Mixue Ice Cream & Tea has opened over 4,700 overseas stores in 13 countries. In Thailand, its familiar Chinese theme song echoes on the streets. In Vietnam, a cup of milk tea embodies Zhengzhou's business acumen and cultural affinity. This is not simply an exported product, but an export of supply chain capabilities and brand operation expertise.

“出海”,不只是把产品卖出去,更是把品牌立起来。蜜雪冰城的海外门店已覆盖13个国家,超4700家。在泰国,街头响起熟悉的中文主题曲;在越南,一杯奶茶承载的是郑州的商业智慧与文化亲和力。这不是简单的产品输出,而是供应链能力、品牌运营能力的全球化复制。

Behind brand globalization lies the city's reputation for transitioning to smart manufacturing. From ZCZL's digital and smart transformation to CREC's green expansion overseas with its tunnel boring machines, and New Dafang's deep involvement in global infrastructure projects, Zhengzhou's manufacturing is gaining a share of the international market through its core technology. ZCZL has made a powerful stride from its traditional industrial past into a digital future with innovative smart manufacturing in the global coal mining equipment field. CREC not only exports equipment but also promotes green and sustainable development concepts, leaving the mark of Chinese craftsmanship on tunneling projects around the world.

In the advanced field of superhard materials, Zhengzhou holds the power to shape the global conversation. Since the birth of China's first synthetic diamond in 1963, the country now produces more than 95 percent of the world's supply.
