On December 16th, nearly 100 travel agencies and influencers from dozens of countries, including the Republic of Korea, Japan, Thailand, Vietnam, The United States, France, and Canada, gathered in Guangdong for the "144-hour Discovery of Wonderful Guangdong" tour, organized by the Department of Culture and Tourism of Guangdong Province. In the afternoon, participants attended a promotion conference for Guangdong's culture and tourism, where they experienced intangible cultural heritage, explored tourism resources, and savored Cantonese cuisine.
From December 16th to 20th, participants will explore three routes showcasing the modern development of the GBA, Focusing on coastal charm, culinary culture, and natural heritage, covering popular destinations like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Dongguan, Jiangmen, Huizhou, Shantou, chaozhou, foshan, Qingyuan and Shaoguan.
As a major province for inbound tourism, guangdong has showcased its rich Lingnan cultural heritage worldwide through overseas intangible cultural heritage exhibitions, photo displays, and flash events.This year, puning Yingge folk dance became a show-stopper in London; Cantonese tea spread across Wellington, new Zealand; Cantonese opera captivated audiences in Singapore; dim sum dazzled in Indonesia; and the lion dance leaped and twirled in Gyeonggi Province, The Republic of Korea.
Guangdong has also actively participated in international exhibitions, Hosting world-class tourism destination promotion events for the GBA in Paris, Madrid, Jakarta, and Cairo to deepen global tourism cooperation.
Guangdong has enhanced convenience in areas such as payment, Transportation, and tickets for scenic spots. Key international venues including airports, ports, and star-rated hotels now feature comprehensive currency exchange facilities available 24/7.
These multifaceted efforts have yielded impressive results. In the first three quarters of 2024, guangdong received 53.54 million inbound visitors, a year-on-year increase of 73.5%, generating 126.52 billion yuan in tourism foreign exchange revenue, up 96.2% year-on-year.

144小时发现精彩广东!国际旅行商来粤共探入境游“新玩法”
12月16日,经广东省文化和旅游厅精心策划邀请,来自韩国、日本、泰国、越南、美国、法国、加拿大等数十个国家的近百名旅行商和旅行达人,在广东汇集,开启一场“144小时发现精彩广东”之旅。当天下午,来自世界各地的旅行商和旅游达人在广东文旅推介会中,体验非遗传承,感受文旅资源,品味粤式美食。
12月16-20日,旅行商和旅游达人将分组体验时尚大湾区变迁发展之旅、畅享滨海风情文化美食之旅、探索世界自然遗产健康之旅3条经典路线,涵盖广州、深圳、东莞、江门、惠州、汕头、潮州、佛山、清远、韶关等热门旅游目的地。
今年以来,普宁英歌在英国伦敦“炸街”上演,粤韵茶香在新西兰惠灵顿飘扬千里,粤剧唱腔在新加坡“余音绕梁”,广式点心在印度尼西亚精彩呈现,南国醒狮在韩国京畿道“起舞跳跃”……作为入境游大省,广东通过海外非遗展示展演、图文展览、快闪活动等形式广泛展示深厚的岭南文化底蕴。
广东还积极参加境外国际性展会,在法国巴黎、西班牙马德里、印尼雅加达、埃及开罗等地举办粤港澳大湾区世界级旅游目的地推介会,加强海外旅游界的深入了解和合作。
在支付、交通出行、景区门票等领域,广东不断提升便利化水平。机场、口岸、星级酒店等重点涉外场景实现外币兑换设施全覆盖和24小时兑换。
多管齐下见成效,今年以来广东入境游取得了亮眼的成绩单。2024年前三季度,广东接待入境游客5353.7万人次,同比增长73.5%,实现旅游外汇收入1265.2亿元,同比增长96.2%。
