2025 National Spring Festival “Village Gala” Staged at Zhang Guying Village

The 2025 National Spring Festival "Village Gala" raised the curtain at its main venue in Zhang Guying Village, Yueyang County, Hunan Province on the evening of January 22. The gala focused on creating a "fashionable, cheerful, fun, and delicious" event. It consisted of four parts—a Xiaonian Festival Variety Show in the millennia-old village; a Dongting Traditional Temple Fair that also served as a countryside carnival; an exploration tour along ancient lanes around the "folk palace museum"; and, a New Year's Eve family reunion dinner. The gala featured participation of the public, folk arts, and all walks of life into colorful folk customs activities such as temple fair and New Year shopping festival.
